Fortunate Sinaloa lies by the Pacific ocean, where shrimp, octopus and marlin abound among other delicacies. Their cuisine is one of the most loved in Mexico, and Mazatlán is synonym of ceviches and zarandeados (marinated and grilled fish), for all tastes and budgets.

Among many seafood street carts, El Beto stands out with his amazingly fresh and very good prized ceviches. For a more formal lunch, try a beachfront palapa like La Mazatleca. Here you will enjoy a fusion of seafood and traditional Mexican fare. But whatever you do, do not miss El Cuchupetas, in Villa Unión, where you will find heaven with their aguachiles (a kind of ceviche) and a very cold Pacífico beer.
