This bay in the Sea of Cortez is beaming with unique fauna you have to see at least once in your life. Whale sharks, in spite of their enormous size, are very sweet and easy to swim with. There are also grey whales, sperm whales, killer whales and mobulas (part of the manta ray family). Snorkeling there among sea lions and shoals of sardines, corals and colorful fish is an otherworldly experience.

Out of the water, four-wheelers are a favorite vehicle to cross the magnificent landscape of the desert under a dazzling blue sky and reach the Mogote dunes. Climbing up a sand mountain at high speed is amazing, but nothing as exciting (and exhausting) as mastering the descent from a dune on a sandboard.
